Moving

House hunting proved far more difficult than anticipated. We were happy to find a home, where the owner agreed to let us replace carpeting with a wood laminate. That seemed to signal a change in luck. A couple days later, the owner decided to pay for the flooring and installation. We certainly didn’t argue. After signing the papers, we had a couple more offers, including a brick home with hardwood floors that sat in the middle of sixty acres of fields and woods. If we’d learned about it a few days earlier, that might have been our first choice. We are happy with our selection, however.  Moving has been completed, although everything was loaded into the garage pending completion of the flooring today. Tomorrow, Calico will be driving us to our new home. The house does have its idiosyncrasies. Since it was built in 1986, we assumed that there would be a water line for the refrigerator’s ice maker.
